Professionals of healthcare and researchers have documented the importance of caring among the poor and disabled. Various circumstances such as old age, illness, pregnancy, natural calamities etc give the opportunity to understand the subject of caring. It can be perceived as a receptiveness of others’ wants for assistance and it is also an honest and cognitive inspiration intended for serving others. The investigational reference of caring may be related to the behaviors of interpersonal association and it is the way through systematic and methodical development for others.

Care, in which the wants of the patient and family unit are recognized to the nurse, can and should effect in racially fitting care. Caring has long been analysis as the achievement and occupation of nurses. On the other hand, care endorses from simply the outlook of the proficient caregiver is imperfect; he/she have got to think the enlightening requirements of the entity, family, and society. The term caring is a worldwide necessity that is a significant constituent in providing nursing care. The book entitled Nursing as caring: a model for transforming practice by Anne Boykin and Savina O’Bryan Schoenhofer comments that “Caring is an essential value in the personal and professional lives of nurses” (Boykin & Schoenhofer, 2001, p.VII).

Educationalists and instructors often describe the role of caring in the profession of nursing. More than a profession or material satisfaction, nursing is a noble occupation and a nurse can provide protection, care and confidence. It is clear that nurses take painstaking efforts to care patients. It is a remarkable fact of the nursing fields and one can see that caring belongs exclusively to the field of nursing. Caring is being found again as a central and joining theory of the nursing.

The famous theorist Leininger outlooks ‘caring’ as the verb matching part to the noun ‘care’ and refers it to a emotion of sympathy, awareness and anxiety for people. As soon as Leininger’s description of care is match up to to other transcultural researcher’s explanation and description, it shows that her vision of care is very extensive “who describe care as goal-oriented nursing activities, in which the nurses recognize the patients’ ethnic and cultural features and integrate them into the nursing process” (Leininger’s Culture Care Theory, 2000, para.2). Caring can keep the life of a patient, offer a death with pride, and express belief and obligation to patients, relatives, and workers.

Caring encompasses five epistemological points of view such as: caring as a being condition, caring as a good, essential or supreme, caring as an influence, caring as an interpersonal affiliations, and last one is caring as a nursing interference. At the same time, caring can also be categorized as prejudice and as the physiologic reactions in patients. Caring, the centre of nursing and should consequently become an element of nursing’s pattern. Even though nursing is one of the varieties of caring practices, caring is not exceptional to nursing and it would not ignore the principles of caring.

Jean Watson, an eminent professor of nursing writes about the meaning and definitions of caring. She has confirmed to the fact that her work was inspired by means of her investigation of new-fangled significance to the world of nursing and patient care. One can find that Jean Watson describes caring as a skill. She uttered the Caring is a science that includes a kind, individual science course, human caring developments, occurrences, and practices. Caring science consist of fine art and humanities over and above science. The article A Pragmatic View of Jean Watson’s Caring Theory permitted that “Watson’s (1999) present definition includes caring as a special way of being-in-relation with one’s self, with others, and the broader environment.

Such relationship requires both an intention and a commitment to care for the individual” (Care, n.d). Caring science outlook is ashore in ontology of being-in-relation, and a view of union and connectedness of each and every one. Transpersonal Caring recognized unity of existence and associations that shift in surrounding of caring-from human being, to society, to humanity, to the world. Caring science studies hold analyses that are philosophical, prejudiced and interpretative and objective-empirical. Caring science studies also take in theoretical, moral, chronological analysis and learning

Watson’s theory provides excellent information about patient care and attitudes of nursing. One can see that Watson’s hypothetical construction, the focal point of which is on interpersonal and transpersonal developments in human being care, is a successful representation so far it relates to the perception of caring. Some theories help to give the understanding of caring and it also make available the hypothetical base intended for incorporating caring into nursing edification. “According to Watson’s theory, the human care process is performed through a Transpersonal Caring Relationship guided by the Curative factors, which are based on humanistic – altruistic value system” (Essay topics, essay writing: Jean Watson theory, 2010, para.3).

While analyzing the profession of nursing one can feel the effective application of Watson’s theory about caring in nursing profession. A nurse can develop humanistic ideologies and a value system among the patients. Another significant fact is that nursing bestows a concrete foundation for the process of caring. People who serve in nursing profession give their body and soul for suffering people and develop an innovative philosophy of care and love.

Watson’s basic assumptions about caring consist of the successful caring endorse health and human being or family improvement. Here one can find the influence of Watson’s theory about caring and the profession of nursing requires numerous definitions about caring.
